SGM Property Maintenance was founded in 2023, initially as a side project but as demand grew exponentially, it became my full-time business in April 2025.

Although originally from Nottinghamshire, I have now lived in Staffordshire for over 18 years. After serving as a soldier overseas in the 1980s, I returned to Nottingham and became a police officer.

Subsequently, I took up management roles with Royal Mail, Capital One Bank, before taking a career path change, retraining in land management at Brackenhurst agricultural college.

In 2003 I took up an estates & property management role for a private landowner in North Yorkshire before starting my first business as a handyman & gardener.
